About Wild Summit Media
Capture Your Story from Above
Founded in 2026, Wild Summit Media is the culmination of the life work and experience of local Mt. Hood photographer and videographer, Ryan Barnes. In the mid 90s, Ryan started their love for videography by making local skate videos for friends using an old Sony handheld video camera paired with an Amiga computer, similar to the Commodore 64. Ryan began shooting photo stills during their many adventures in mountaineering and backpacking, creating a love for dramatic landscapes and extreme sports. Ryan worked with a friend running a small photo business, "You've Been Shot!" in the early 2000s, capturing mountain bike, rafting, kayaking, and landscape stills. In the early 2010s, Ryan ran a successful motovlog channel on YouTube creating off-road motorcycle and cinematic videos. Today, Ryan brings their life experience in photography and videography to deliver captivating photos to meet each client's needs. Drawing from this experience, combined with three years of flying camera drones and a strong intuitive sense of perspective and space—especially within the mountains—Wild Summit Media was born.
